aren’t all CDNs slow at first because they have to download content from the origin first? I quoted “a full minute plus” at what test time did you decide this?
I have experienced related issues (not the same, never got broken images) but I contacted them to put Shielding for my server so that downloads are faster and cache better, mine is a large site, and this is a free service.
also you should consider this, does CF offer automatic image resize and file optimization with $25? no, it’s $200.
what I mean is, try to contact them first before deciding to give a rating like this. I believe they are good at giving you free CDN on premium networks.

This is called masking the CDN URL and making it look like yours. Ask Statically whether they allow this, if it doesn’t then don’t.
Also, this only makes things slow. Unless it’s set directly on their service. If you are worried about your infrastructure you should know this.
