Thanks to Joe for his quick help. Issue resolved.
There was a double auto-tweeting going on — one from WP to Twitter (which was correct) and one from Feedburner (which had added the category). I didn’t notice the “fb/” added to the google-shortened URL, and mistook it for WP to Twitter’s issue.
