One more thing: When I tick “Inline above-the-fold CSS” and add in the box critical css as generated by adding my homepage into the generator tool from https://criticalcss.com/generate and load a page, it initially starts loading the previously messed up pages, then switches to the fixed ones??

The plugin causing the conflict problem is “WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway” – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/
It’s not my only payment gateway, I use it because they process Apple Pay transactions for my site.
Can you help?

Tried adding themes/storevilla-pro-child-theme-02/style.css instead,still messed up.
It’s a different kind of messed up.Historically, I have had problems with mobile compatibility with my original child theme 01 after some updates to another plugin. After building a fresh child theme 02, problems seemed to disappear. I don’t know whether that is irrelevant. Would it be worth me trying my original theme?

Regarding the inline & defer: I have copied and pasted the critical css. All are working to start with. google score is 71/100 for mobile & 88/100 for a desktop. The Facebook integration and google fonts are not taken care of yet though.Here’s the problem. Page layout on product pages has gone to pot. On mobile and desktop. Images and fonts, backgrounds are all a mess. Although it works just fine on my browser that’s logged into WordPress? any ideas?
The layout is fine with AO deactivated.

After activating AO some pages to appear without layout with no options selected at all. They also appear when I select any other options including “inline all”
I get: Prioritize visible content. After I select “inline all”
I would like to try “inline & defer” but I have no idea where I get css/which css to enter in the box.Forum: Plugins

Thanks for letting me know about problems with facebook-woocommerce integration. Need to keep that at the moment. I’ve tried running AO as you advise with “inline all CSS” and it starts ok, sorts out the Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content. Then it’s PageSpeed Insights scores go right down for mobile. Mobile pages appear without layout in product pages. PageSpeed Insights additionally ask me to Prioritize visible content.When I turn off AO it goes back to where I started. Are there changes I need to make in AO / Cloudflare / W3TC / MaxCDN ? Bit stuck on this,,,

Deactivated all plugins,then brought them back on one @ a time. to estabish that it was a conflict with HTML5 video plugin and Jetpack (while in maintainance mode over night).
Found a working plugin that has worked out fine for my purposes – “WooCommerce – Embed Videos To Product Image Gallery” – went with that. I’ll keep hold of HTML5 video plugin while we wait to here from them.
