In reply to: Jetpack comments – child comments drop outThis probably has to do with a setting under “discussion”.
“Enable threaded (nested) comments [5] levels deep”
5 is the default, but it can be raised to as many as 10. I’m guessing that a thread with more than 50 comments probably has some replies that are more than 5 deep.

In reply to: WHY does one Page Look Different Than The Others??Oh. I didn’t remove the link. I removed the stylesheet itself.
And why that LINK was even there in the first place is because I copied the code from the index.html page that I had been using previously, and didn’t remove it when I switched back to a pure WordPress site.

In reply to: WHY does one Page Look Different Than The Others??Ok, nevermind that. I went in and removed a float element from my CSS and that fixed the problem. Not even sure why that was there.
Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: WHY does one Page Look Different Than The Others??But…wait.
Doing that created a new problem.
The “Blog” page, which was working fine, now has an odd problem with the first entry. You’ll see it right away. The last image in the post is doing something strange, and it wasn’t before. Also the “back to top” element is aligned strangely.

In reply to: WHY does one Page Look Different Than The Others??Alchymyth!
You are the best! That fixed it!
I just deleted the css files in my home directory and boom.
Thank you.

In reply to: WHY does one Page Look Different Than The Others??Right now the “About” page is working just fine. I didn’t change anything about it. I just copied the HTML from it, placed it in a new page, deleted the old one, and renamed the new one to the old name. Everything is the same, and yet now it works.
However, whichever page I assign as the “Front” page has the same formatting problem. It’s so odd, because if I go into Settings and change which page IS the front page, THAT page starts having the error, while the former front page is fixed!
Maybe I should’ve mentioned it before, but previously I used an index.html file as the front page when I couldn’t get this to work, then changed it back to pure WordPress. The problem seems to be with WordPress even recognizing which page is the Front.

In reply to: WHY does one Page Look Different Than The Others??Unfortunately, this did not resolve the problem. All of the validation errors I had were things like “Shorttag” discrepancies or other minor things. None of these things changed between the time the site was working and now.
My CSS validates.
