Have tried downloading and installing the updated plugin on a new site. Am facing the same issue with the “Your Appointment Date” field being defaulted to 01-01-2016. Have not modified any settings. Have used the shortcode [APCAL] on the page soon after installing the plugin with default values.

I have a feeling the error is due to the calendar refreshing itself between actions.
Please advise.

There were no changes done to the core code file. Inserted the shortcode soon after installing the plugin. just configured the settings using the settings option.
