I have exactly the same issue on my install.
…/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/advanced-cache.php no file, and no CACHEHOME.

Yes followed your instructions and there was no change.
So then tried changing the permalink.

I’m using the the ‘Post Name’ permalink type.
If I change to ‘Plain’ I can then see the feed:
http://chimpions.co.uk/?feed=podcast&podcast_series=chimpions
If I change it back to ‘Post Name’ it still shows as invalid:
http://chimpions.co.uk/feed/podcast/chimpions
Same here – http://www.chimpions.co.uk – http://www.chimpions.co.uk/feed/podcast/chimpions
