This issue has been explained, corrected and resolved. Apparently it was a technical error and the fee should not have shown, if not applicable to different users and/or circumstances. The 30-day wait to receive a credit card payment seems to be a local law, outside their control. It’s an inconvenience, but not a deal breaker; and can be seen as a “savings” aside. I’m adding this information to be fair to them and I also want to add the features that I particularly like about this plugin:
- It allows worldwide merchants to reach Latin American markets by facilitating the processing of payments used in those countries.
- It includes payments in installments of up to 12 months for buyers, at no extra cost to merchant.
- You can write your own percentage rate to each payment type (a template can be provided). For example, you can add an extra fee, or a higher percentage, for the payments that you must wait 30 days to receive. Debit card payments processed are made available right away to the merchant. Only credit card payment is held back for 30 days in your account; that is, you cannot request it to be transferred for 30 days. You may decide to give an incentive to your buyers to pay with debit cards by adding a surcharge on cc payments, for example. I enjoy having the ability to edit these options for each type of payment.
- Customer/Technical service is generally very kind and they try to help and solve your issue.
What I think could be improved?
- Faster response time to technical issues with the plugin. I noticed when they don’t have an answer (yet), they simply won’t respond for several days, sometimes more than a week! When there is no answer, that’s the best answer. Just say, “I’m sorry, we’re still working on your solution.” Just say something. This initial review could have been avoided.
- Back-end technical know-how and expertise could be upgraded (and I think they will).
- Their dashboard sometimes hang, which could mean insufficient server capacity.
Overall, I’m satisfied with the plugin.
