In reply to: how to change registration forms in WPHello,
Just an update that I have figured out how to get REForms setup, and Captcha too, but need to correct it as the key is apparently wrong, but it is there on the sign in form. However, it only shows on the top post in the main page but if you click on said top post to read it, it gives you the registration form, but no captcha there but I do have a conform email for registration.
Now to see if the included registration form/log in form that is in the meta section of the theme can be disabled (free theme 2013). Anyone have any ideas on that?
The way REFoorms works is you have to paste the short link into EACH post (registration) and I think the same code for the main page, but its a log in as I can click on the site before logging in and it’ll show on the very first post, but not the subsequent posts further down the main page, which then means if you click on that post without logging in, that post does not have the REForms log in form but the original WP log in form. I have kept comments open indefinitely so if anyone wants to, they can comment on an older post, but most don’t though.
I think I need to get the proper V2, not V3 captcha keys to make it work as when not logged in, it shows up, as an error by site owner.
Any other suggestions to consider?
TIA!

In reply to: how to change registration forms in WPFortunately, GoDaddy does include the free version of Askimet so it takes care of some things and Jetpack as well is also included in the package, but again, it’s a free version I think.
Anyway, to activate some features of Askimet, gotta pay, and I forget what the monthly fee is, but at this time, trying to avoid any extra fees until finances improve (part of why I’m trying to monetize the blog – hence getting rid of bots). A onetime fee is fine, but trying to avoid monthly fees at this time if at all possible.
As to trying to add captcha to the stock registration form, don’t see any way to do that, that I can ascertain from the options in the admin dashboard.
I’ll also check with ERForms to see what they suggest and it may be I may have to inquire with my host but will try these avenues first.
Thanks.
