I’m having the same problem. I followed the instructions to replace the ‘wordpress-seo’ folder with the latest files downloaded from Yoast, but nothing has changed. I still don’t see the Yoast SEO plugin in my WordPress dashboard.
I can’t re-install the plugin because I get the message that the folder already exists. What am I supposed to do?
