In reply to: Install.php can’t find wp-config.php fileI went through all the old posts hoping to find a solution, but I’m still stuck getting this message when I try to install:
“There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get started. Need more help? We got it. You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn’t work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.”
But I seem to have done everything correctly — everything unzipped into the correct folders, etc. everything named correctly, I re-named the folder, and so forth, but it can’t find the file.
Any other suggestions?

In reply to: Install.php can’t find wp-config.php fileYes, Marzaroo, I did. It really is a mystery to me. Especially that it seems that a few of us are having similar problems, but I don’t see this problem as occuring in past posts on the forum.

I clearly have the file. It is in the root directory. My host uses MySQL. And when I click on making it through a web interface it tells me that I already have the file, too.
Is this a permissions issue of some sort — although I do have dba permissions at my database?
