The reason for have two languages is. the Datenschutzrichtlinie, data protection policy have to be protected against translation and we need the original German version on it. Original language in the sense of google translator is english. so this idea was by design.
I try to skip translation by using pdf documents for this sensitives content.

I understood Sebastian in another way: When you have one original text in your first original language, after translation in a second language it is ok, but coming back to the first language you don’t come back to the original text, but to the translation of the first translation.This makes it sometimes worse.
I have the same problem which is a disaster e.g. in the official, juridical text within privacy policy rules.Ok, I try to answer, we have our website in test subdomain in order to renovate our public communication, due to multi language membership of our association CIVV we need a multilangiage website: de, en, fr and it. 1. I need translation of web content and header
2. I need translation of menu headline as well, like in footer widget: see Datenschutz and Impressum, is not translated, respectively I need to protect some words by translation (e.g. Impressum is not ‘imprint’, Impressum is masthead or edition notice) How can I make it happen?
3. I need to protect the text within Privacy Policy Guide not to be translated, because google translation is sometimes bullshit (cookies are no biscuits), I want to translate provacy policy guide by myself and put it into the footer as own and fix and untouchable by the translator.
4. I needed a easier way fro translation, because multi-language plug-ins are difficult to manage and difficult to find and test. But now I am a bit frustrated and shortly before to renovate multi language tool again.
Don’t be surprised, that website only has two pages, this is for test reason. later we need more.

The only yreason why i installed wp fastes cashe was a JSON error message while saving an update in wordpress pages…Forum: Plugins

All set up seems to be ok with regards to 4 languages, but the switch is incomplete.

But I couldn’t find so far the function to set a sidebar, I mean a second column as I had before, where I presented The Event Calendar and the language switch…
Result so far is: The Event Calendar works properly in another theme. But is there a mistake in my former theme graphene or is there a wrong setting somewhere which I can remove by delete all and install again fresh?

Clean The events calendar: Yes, I tried but i was not successful: I deleted the plugin in my installation, and expected to install new and put new events into the calendar, but after reinstall, all old events appeared alone! So I assume, the plugin was not really deleted in my database. How can I delete it really?
(back up I use regularly)

result when you klick there: the bullshit problem page!

1. Test, if there is a conflict
switched off all but one plugin, even the qtranslate x, photo gallery and all, deleted the cache, start the website, result: the same problem. so conflict exist somewhere else.
2. Find source of conflict
step one: no other theme was used before and after, so no test possible
step two: useless to use, because my problem still exist with all but one (the event calendar) plugin enabled, so I partially activated the plugins I need, result: no change.
Lokk for solution: hm, this is the reason why I’m here, after days of testings.
Other tests I made:
I compared my original website, the one with the problem, civv-info.org with my test website, which does not have that problem (see civv.info), I made all settings the same. All I mean, all I found, or all I know. I am sure there is one I miss, but which one? E.g.: permalink settings: are the same (now), no change, set of plugins are nearly the same, I work on it to complete, but after test step 1, I don’t expect to have a conflict with plugins.

I updated my permalinks as far as I understood what you mean, and I had solved another little problem, I mean, my “event” page is now visible (http://civv-info.org/attuale-informazioni-current-new-information-aktuelles/veranstaltungen/?lang=en) , but if I klick one of the events, still the same silly page appear (http://civv-info.org/event/civv-event-amsterdam/?lang=en) which is NOT the details of the event!?
I Try testing for conflict guide, will see what I learn there…
