It was the Allow Category plug-in that I use to protect some posts from public, I had to set the news category as “public” to see that category in the menu.

My theme is NRG version 1.05 by Alexey Chistyakov, Polylang 1.7.2 just installed.
I did 2 menus, one for language.
When I add the news category to the menus (italian or english the behavior it’s the same) it seems to work, but after the save command the category disappear from the menu.
Before installing polyang the same category worked well (of course italian only).
