Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: New Account: admin page not accessibleI called BlueHost and they trouble shooted it for me, with a possible recurrent problem with the code for perma-links. Anyway, for now, lets say its fixed, as I can get on again!
Thanks
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: New Account: admin page not accessibleHi, I’m just a new user here, but
1) you might want to enter your support request under its own heading2) if your site is still up online, go to it through your browser, under “View” in the menubar, select view source, then copy and paste this source html (even if you don’t understand html) into a clean word type file. If you can put each page of webpage onto its own word type page and save it under the web page title, you’ll be doing sort of a save. Its just a bit of damage control, not a real fix. You might be able to get it back on line afterward, but I don’t know wordpress for any exact instructions.
good luck
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: where is .htaccess in bluehost file manager?Hi, I called bluehost and they guided me to create one in the root rather than in the wordpress root. I just created another one in the wordpress root. Will it be a problem to have the other one, a level above wordpress? Shall I delete it or leave it?
Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly.
Is there a search feature on the support forum?
