Final results…
1.
It took 10days to crawl all my links (over 2500), using seoPress’ default sitemap url at (https://example.com/sitemaps.xml),2.
Sitemap doesn’t automatically update in GSC when new posts are made, take about 24hrs, some days more than 48hrs….3.
clicks from google search decreased drastically despite instant index.=========================================================================
same task was completed within 48hrs using Yoast seo’s default sitemap url at (https://example.com/sitemap_index.xml), clicks from google search was moderately affected till crawling was completed.
Sitemap link DOESN’T instantly updates in GSC, but didn’t take like 12hrs either, once crawling was completed.

Same task also took more than 48hrs, but less than 120hrs, to be completed with Google XML Sitemaps Plugin by Auctollo at (https://example.com/sitemap.xml), clicks from google search was moderately affected,Sitemap link instantly updates in GSC at lightspeed once crawling was completed
Recommendation:
SeoPress is a great seo plugin but really need to fix the slight issue with sitemap.Thank you Jeroen. I switched my SEO Plugin and, used the inbuilt schema feature in the seo plugin and uploaded my image (1200 x 1100) and it fixed.
yes, answer 1 is close enough….
I switched to SOEPress’ default sitemap url, after and deleted the one I was using for nearly a year, which was not from seopress.
After I made the switch, I noticed that the sitemap doesn’t update automatically in my GSC each time i publish a new post.. but with the old sitemap I was using, it delayed for the the first 24 hrs, and then it began to update instantly in my GSC each time i make a new post.
meanwhile its been 4days since I made the switch and it still not giving the desired results. (though my contents still get indexed in under 10mins -1hr)
I glanced previous threads and saw that some users already reported that their sitemaps aren’t updating (or something similar)
Conclusion:
I will monitor for 2 weeks max, (starting from 20-Aug-2022), if doesn’t give me what i want, i will feedback, or I will change back to the sitemap url I was using earlier.Ive fixed the issue myself, you clearly ain’t understanding me.. but thats ok.. meanwhile.. how do you explain this? screenshot
Very well, Thank you very much for the clarification
The reason i want to change it is because my site didn’t get crawled effectively with the default sitemap,, till i switched my seo plugin to another service, used their sitemap and boom! thousands of links in my blog got indexed within 24hrs
I got update notification but I checked and WP hasn’t recognized SEOPress as AMP compatible.. is that an issue?
Frankly what you wrote here hasn’t really being helpful to me! you keep saying use rewrite rule… but how?
the tutorial you sent earlier, wasn’t very well explained..
here is what i want to achieve, I want to use this https://example.com/sitemap_index.xml as my sitemap url which I will be adding to my Google search console.
instead using the default (https://example.com/sitemaps.xml)
Thats all I want to achieve, is it possible?
I clearly have no understanding of what you just wrote here.. according to a guide i saw on SEOPress, it says “In almost all cases, the code can be copied and pasted into the functions.php file of your child theme / theme.”
but it didnt say if its at the beginning or at the center or at the end.
Also.. explain in details what this code does
function sp_sitemaps_external_link($custom_sitemap) { $custom_sitemap = [ 0 => [ 'sitemap_url' => 'https://example.com/', 'sitemap_last_mod' => '1989-10-08T01:23:45+00:00' ], 1 => [ 'sitemap_url' => 'https://example.com/', 'sitemap_last_mod' => '1989-10-08T01:23:45+00:00' ] ]; return $custom_sitemap; } add_filter('seopress_sitemaps_external_link', 'sp_sitemaps_external_link');Because I do not understand it.. and my google search is beginning to come back up, after its been down for 2 weeks since after I add amp, so i wouldn’t wanna mess anything up. thanks
no you clearly haven’t, but thats ok… we can close the thread now.. meanwhile

Hello, seems lightshot is having issues showing uploaded screenshot, here’s alternate link to view the screenshot I share above
This is what I am talking about H1 – H6 tags
I don’t know how else to explain it, but see if the picture helps..
now my question is, is there a feature in SEOPress that lets a users set different universal sizes for different texts in WP?
