Got it, thx @katereji that’s very helpful.
Thanks @shagimuratov that’s a very helpful option. Can you please email me the names of those 3 websites?
One more question about this, if I may, @dimitrycleantalk. We are using the plugin on over 370 websites that we manage, and there will be more over time. Is there a way for us to know which of these sites has its SpamFireWall database outdated, without logging in to each site individually?
I looked through our CleanTalk dashboard but couldn’t see anything that could tell us, across all our sites.
Thank you.
Thanks @katereji no more errors now. The plugin works very well 🙂
Thanks @serge00 we did all of that (including enable the option “Complete Deactivation”) but we hadn’t cleared the website cache afterwards. We will try that and let you know if that helped.
Thanks @eugenecleantalk that’s all we need for now. Best wishes.
Thanks @amagsumov that’s very helpful. We haven’t seen any spam from that site in the past 2 days.
We don’t understand why this website is being hit by the spammers. Who is benefiting from this?
Hi, we now have this same problem happening again on another website: https://bregmanlantzlaw.com/
The spam message is always “I’m encountering an error while trying to update my profile.” or “how to report a error I encountered on your platform.” There are no user profiles on this website.
The website uses Gravity Forms, and CleanTalk Version 6.58.
Can you please investigate? Many thanks.
Many thanks @eugenecleantalk, the issue seems to have been resolved. We’re not seeing any more spam emails getting through to our inbox, and I can see your test email in the “Denied” log for https://frankhorvat.com.au/.
Best wishes
Thanks @ahmedpothiawala, that solved the problem :-)))
Thanks Jonathan, problem solved. My IP address was being blocked by Wordfence!
OK, I have found the cause of the problem on our site: the WP Gardmail plugin was installed on the site previously, and although it was deactivated and deleted from the admin interface, the data were still in the site database and causing an incompatibility issue with the WP SMTP plugin.
Removing WP Gardmail from the back end has fixed the issue for us.
Hi Darshana thanks for your reply. The above error happens both when the Launch Wizard tries to send a test email, and when I try to send a test email via the WP Mail SMTP -> Tools page. The WordPress administrator email address under the WordPress Settings -> General area is my email address.
Thanks. The issue seems to have resolved itself without me changing anything. It’s an intermittent error.
Please note that we have the same problem on this site: https://azuhr.com/
