Having a similar (perhaps exact same) issue.
Using Gravity Forms (User Subscription), to activate pending registrations.
Working before, no longer working.
- Updated SB Welcome Email 4.2.5 –> 4.8
- Updated from WordPress 4.3.1 –> 4.4
- Using latest version of Gravity Forms
