Has anyone found an answer to this? I also have the new ver 1.1.6 and the older thread for 1.1.3 does not work. I have managed to get the drop down menu in place but the posts don’t go to the selected category. Plus each new post creats a new category called “post” or “status” if it’s a status update. I move the posts to the proper category and delete the “post” category but it comes back again. I’m very new at all of this, don’t know much about php. Would love to get this working as so as the blog grows not constantly having to go in and move posts to the proper category.
Also would like to get rid of “Status Update” altogether and have just “Blog Post” as the opening page. I managed to get rid of the status update button but don’t know enough about the code to make the “Blog Post” Title and text box come up first.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
