Sorry you are having trouble. When you say it’s the same child theme, do you mean it’s the exact same child theme? The child theme folder names are the exact same?

Are you using two different sites here or just trying to import the parent settings into the child theme?
Is the child theme a custom child theme or one available on the repo (I was unable to find it on the repo).

Thanks for that info. I’ve tested with 2 different sites using different Kadence child theme names and it works for me.
A couple further questions so I can consult our development team:
– Do the folder names match for the child themes on both sites or are they different?
– What versions of PHP are you using on each site?
– Are both sites using the same version of the parent theme? Meaning the same version # and also are both using free or both using the pro version?Thanks for your help so we can identify the cause (hopefully)!

In reply to: Customizer with paintbrush icon, has a critical errorOkay so a good test would be to temporarily disable Beaver Builder and see if the Customizer issue goes away. If it does than we know Beaver Builder is involved but might not be the actual cause.
To find out that for sure, you would need to switch to a default theme and disable all plugins (at the same time) except Beaver Builder and see if the issue with the Customizer continues.
I would still recommend trying to see what the actual error is as that will point you (and us if we need to get involved) in the right direction as to what is causing the problem.

If it just shows a critical error and not the error itself, if you can enable WP DEBUG, you likely will be able to see the error.

If you’re not sure how to do that, if you can install plugins, there are plugins like this one https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/debug-log-manager/ that can help you enable WP Debug mode without having to make edits to the wp-config.php file yourself. You can then view the log and see if any errors are shown there after trying to visit that page again.

It doesn’t sound like this issue is caused by Beaver Builder since the problem existed in a different way before updating Beaver Builder. When you update plugins, likely any cache you are using gets cleared and that relates to the white page.
If you can install plugins, there are plugins like this one https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/debug-log-manager/

Astra’s team has their own plugin for theme export/import, however.

In reply to: Edits made to page don’t appear on websiteIf you are using Beaver Builder to design/edit the page, did you make the edits to the text in Beaver Builder or did you switch to the WP Editor and save and then enable BB again after making the changes?
If you switched to the WP Editor to make the changes and then enabled BB again, that would explain why the changes show in the WP editor and in the REST API but not on the frontend. You cannot switch back and forth like that without losing the changes you are making in each editor. You would need to make your changes in Beaver Builder.

In reply to: Password protected page no longer workingCheck with your webhost (which appears to be GoDaddy). They may have a way for you to make these Header changes or be able to do it for you.

If you want to do that, please provide a link to the password protected page and the test password to that page only (Not login information to your whole website).
