BasePress plugin adds “active” lass to the parent of the list item in the sidebar.
if you inspect it via inspector in the firefox, you will find the following class..
.bpress-nav-section.active > .bpress-nav-item
Hope this helps. If you need further help, please reach out via contact form of our website so I can look at your exact page and try to help you.
BasePress follows the WordPress permalink structure and doesn’t interfere with it.
Can you please check whether the permalink structure works with default WP posts and categories? If it works, it should work just fine with BasePress too.
Just FYI, here’s the link to permalink document for BasePress

In reply to: [Knowledge Base documentation & wiki plugin - BasePress Docs] Footnotes?I tested this and you are right. The footnotes block work just fine. But when I am adding a footnote reference in a paragraph, the option for footnotes does not appear.
We will fix this in the next version of the plugin.
Yay!
If you like our plugin and support, please add a genuine review for BasePress plugin.
I think this has more to do with the main theme (fusion/avada?) you are using which controls the content width.
- Temporarily, switch back to default WP theme
- Make sure the knowledgebase sidebar has atleast one widget in it.
If this doesn’t solve the problem, please write to us providing necessary access. Our email is mentioned on https://basepresskb.com/contact/ page.
Thanks for pointing this out. This change might require some fundamental changes in the plugin and the way it is structured.
Immediate updates are not planned but we will be considering this in future versions.
Received that email, responded already. and also have processed refund.
Please use WP.org forums for support related general questions. Let us keep this kind of communication via email/support ticket.
I have already received your email. Responded to it. And also processed refund before few hours.
And there was never a refusal of refund (despite the one-month-refund-guarantee is over). This is the first time you have requested refund and I have processed it in few hours.
Please stop using ww.wp.xz.cn for this kind of communication. Our email address is mentioned on our website and you are welcome for any further concerns.
Unfortunately, we have not received any email for whatsoever reason. Can you please send a refund request email along with your receipt to this email address mentioned on our contact us page? I will process your refund right away.
That said, as shown on our demo (link mentioned by you), the sub sections work perfectly. You will need to create a sub section first. I am happy to help with this too if you wish.
The page should not crash. Maybe install WP Query Monitor plugin and lets find out what is the exact cause of this?
Thanks for the kind words. @sachsongngu if you love our product and support, can you please add a genuine review? It would help our small business.
Thanks
I tried to reproduce this bug at our end (and also on wp.new) but was unable to. Can you try to trouble shoot this by adding wp query monitor or similar plugin? Basically this needs to be troubleshoot since its a unique case.
Please send us an email (mentioned on our contact form page) with further details if this persists.
The plugin adds “open” class to that parent in the sidebar.
A quick “hack” I think of is to hide the children via CSS. But then, it won’t expand even after clicking it.
This is a first request of this kind. Usually, this is considered as a plus point. But I can see your point. Unfortunately, this is not available in the plugin and you would have to make manual changes.
