In your dashboard, go to the editor for this theme,
then open: single.php
Find:
<!–Get the author bio–>
Remove next line of code:
<?php echo giornalismo_author_bio(); ?>

I’ll definitely study them. Did some Googling on the Russian site in the meantime. It was a problem more than a year ago for many using phpBB forums. Not much chat about it since then.
Good news is I think my hostserver is finally starting to make some headway. Site is extremely slow to load, but at least the redirection has been halted.
