Just managed to resolve this. Turns out it was a php error triggered by a change in how data in a custom field was being stored. Fixed the code to cater for the data issues and all is loading OK again.
I assume that will work as a one-off means of transferring a user’s gravatar to their UM profile. But what if someone new registers, or an existing eser updates their gravatar. Will I need to re-run the transfer tool?
It still doesn’t explain why UM isn’t pulling in the user’s gravatar when the appropriate settings say it should.
