MartenJust to clarify, is it possible that your web server is not accessible from outside? To compress an image, our servers first have to download the image from your server. The first error “Cannot save compressed image. Please try again!” can also trigger when your web server has some restrictions, such as not being able to use file_put_contents() function. Our plugin needs this to replace the image.

The “Cannot save compressed image” error has now been fixed. It was due to misconfiguration in one of our US compression servers, which was automatically chosen as the closest one to you.
Is it possible that you are running a previous version of WordPress? That might be the cause of the icon not showing.
