Hi, @erdeme61
We are so sorry for your inconvenience.
The problem looks strange, would you please send us a debug file (support(at)wpvivid.com). You can find it on your website > CompressX > System Info. Please also include a link to this thread so we can track the issue.

Hi @nikketrikke
Is your imagick version 6.x?
Usually, the issue is triggered by the Imagick version. Please refer to this article: https://compressx.io/docs/troubleshooting/
To resolve this problem, there are 2 method:
- Upgrade the imagick version to 7.0 or higher
- Go ahead to Settings page, check the checkbox Do not convert PNG images
If Converter for Media can deal with the PNGs to avif correctly at the same Imagick version 6.x, please let us know, we will check it out as soon as possible. Thank you so much:)
All the best
Hi @betoarisi
It sounds your server does not support avif library.
Would you please follow the steps to check it out?
- Go ahead to “Settings” page of our plugin.
- click the url “Check Environment” next to output format
- find the Imagick AVIF Support and GD AVIF Support, if one of them is true, so you can convert your images to avif (you must choose the right library GD or Imagick on Settings page). If not, contact your server provider to upgrade the library.
Our plugin works locally, so it needs the right environment.
All the best.
