So, it looks like it was the .htaccess file. I reverted it to the basic WP one from this page that looks like the text below and the 404 error goes away.

The plugins are still active and the error is gone, so it was some combination of speed optimization plugins that made changes to the .htaccess file that is to blame. I was messing around a lot and ended up with this, any idea what might be to blame? I've copied the offending .htaccess code below. I would like to retain the changes I made (minus the 404, obviously) because it sped up the page significantly. Thanks!
