I’m not adding any custom code or css manually, I do have a few plugins because this is a live e-commerce website.
Strange thing is also, when creating the critical css on the twenty twenty one theme it creates 4 files. Doing the same with botiga theme it creates 12 files Screenshot

I tried that and the problem remained.
I made a clone of my website, deactivating any plugin + cleared cache, and reactivating them one by one. The problem disappeared.
Did the same with the live site the problem reappeared 😅
Looked at the plugin’s again and finally found the problem: jetpack boost automatically regenerates critical css and that’s when the problem appears. So it ain’t a theme problem, more a plugin thing.
