Thanks for your reply.

I’ve tested it again and it was just the first square effect that wasn’t working for me but I tried using the other effects and they seem to be working.

Correction: Any custom link that I add to an image should take me directly to the external link but for some strange reason it is adding my site URL in front of the the external link.
