In reply to: Bug without a fix – HTTP error on image upload to media libraryThanks for the suggestion rogervize.
I changed my php.ini file maximum file size from 2M to 8M and tried uploading an 0.5M file. Unfortunately I got the same errors:
The “internal server error” with the browser uploader and the “IO error” with the new uploader.
You had me all optimistic then 😉 Thanks for trying to help.
Cheers,

In reply to: Bug without a fix – HTTP error on image upload to media libraryHi there,
My wp-config.php file has this in line in it:define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’);
Surely this should allow enough memory to upload normal images. Any other suggestions?

In reply to: Bug without a fix – HTTP error on image upload to media libraryThanks for the response.
I’ve looked at the possibility of the problem being limited to files of a certain size but we seem to have problems with images over a few hundred pixels wide/high and not that big in terms of bytes.
Smaller files are more likely to work but the maximum limit seems unworkably low.

In reply to: Media image upload problemHas anyone else seen this issue?
There seems to be lots of suggested solutions on Google but none have worked for me.
Is anyone able to suggest what I could look for in the logs to diagnose this properly so that i can finally get this resolved?

In reply to: Media image upload problemI know what you mean about 1and1 – I don’t disagree.
There must be a logical cause the for the problem I’m experiencing. All the suggestions so far have been almost random. I need to know what’s going on so that I can solve the problem…

In reply to: What happened to my post?…so if I think I’ve found a potential problem that is either a fault with the software (in a very straight forward configuration) or the installation process then I should contact a third party to resolve it!
I must admit that I was expecting a bit more from the forum than that. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by all those lovely helpful people over at the ASP.Net forum!
Its not even as if anyone has even tried to help me with this problem.

In reply to: What happened to my post?No problem Michael.
I seem to be unable to get any help whatsoever with the problem I’ve described. Can you suggest an alternative method that I could use to get some assistance please…

In reply to: Next page link not workingWhy won’t anyone help me with this?
I raised this days ago, and many days before that in another part of the forum. There are a number of possible reasons why I have not had any replies:
1. No one else using Windows, IIS and the current verion of WP has the same problem.
2. People have the problem but just ignore it.
3. People are aware of the problem but don’t know how to solve it
4. The answer is SO obvious that people that ask it are treated with contempt for asking the question.
5. No one can be bothered to help someone else having a problem.
It really is unusual to submit a clearly defined problem to a support site and get absolutely NO feedback or suggestions whatever.
Any suggestions?

In reply to: Next page link not workingThis seems to be a problem when paging through any results e.g. pages of new plugins – basically any time the page includes the little ‘next page’ navigation controls.
Is this just me?
