Thanks for your help- I’ll keep looking around for other solutions.
I’m using Windows 8, and can confirm that both sites are affected by this issue. Perhaps this is an issue that only occurs on Windows 8? I confirmed this with another Windows 8 laptop, as well (touch screen). While I may upgrade at a later time, I’m in the site construction phase right now, and this is one of many plugins I am evaluating.
Thanks for the quick reply! Are you using a touch screen? I think the issue has to do with touch screens, specifically.
Interestingly enough, while my site and equynox’s site has this issue, the site mapsmarker.com does not appear to have this issue (touch works, as well as drag). Hope that helps. Thanks!
I am experiencing this issue as well, and I believe it has to do with touch screens. My site mthikes.com has the same issues with dragging with Firefox, Opera, and Chrome. IE works just fine, but IE does not support touch dragging. If there was a way to disable touch gestures, I think this would fix the issue. The reason for this is that while mouse navigation does not work with these browsers, keyboard navigation and touch navigation does work. In addition, if a user uses the map with touch, they then cannot click on markers- they have to be tapped on.
