Just an update. I removed the constants from wp-config and it seems that solved the issue. Is there a reason why the same credentials don’t work in the wp-config but they do in the WP Mail SMTP settings?

I’m using the default lost password form. The configuration of WP Mail SMTP I’m using is Other SMTP, with TLS encryption and Authentication.
For constants, I think you’re referring to settings in wp-config? In the config, the WPMS_ON is set to true and WPMS_SMTP_PASS is set.
Typing in that path worked anyways. I have 4 CPTs.
