I think I have emptied the cache several times given the activate and deactivate between W3 (which now produces no site at all) and the WP Fast Cache (which I have had to fall back tobecause it which restores the site) though it does not meet Pingdom’s standards the way W3 does.
This problem seemed to develop when the theme was updated, which suggests an incompatability with W3
