I’m glad the problem is solved, I can’t add the filename management to the grid view, because WordPress doesn’t expose any method of customization for that view.I will check the documentation, in the web site there is some screenshot that shows the list view, but it could be useful to add a clearer explanation to the readme.

I’ll try to create a development server with the same configuration of plugins you are using as soon as possible.I didn’t release any update in the past months because I’ve made no changes to the code, maybe this will be the case ^^
Just a doubt (some user uses the wrong visualization in WordPress’ media library): are using the list or the grid view?

I can’t add this feature because the alt text is intended to be used to support users with visual impairments, not only for SEO purposes, using the post title as alt text would create a useless alt text for screen reader.There are other plugins that can generate alt text using genAI, Phoenix Media Rename supports integration with AltText.ai, you can try this approach to automate alt text generation.

I am the author, but the forum policy forbid to ask for admin password (thanks @moderator for your intervention), it seems that this rule is valid even for test sites.I’m sorry, but I can’t help you directly on your staging site, can you try to disable Phoenix Media Rename and upload some image, to see if the problem persists?

it is quite strange: Phoenix Media Rename doesn’t work during file upload, but only on files already present in the media library.Can you tell me which other plugins you are using, so that I can try to replicate your configuration on my develpment server?

I tried enabling the modules you reported and everything is working, but in your screen recording I can see a button related to Alt text generation, are you using another plugin (something like AltText.ai) or is it related to Content AI module of RankMath?Content AI module is a paid extension, I cannot test it without a license, but I can contact RankMath staff to see if they can create a developer account for me.

I tested Phoenix Media Rename with RankMath SEO on my development server and everything worked.The issue you reported could be related to a RankMath setting (I used default configuration), can you tell me which options you have enabled?
