    No worries. Thank you for your concern and moderation!

    I have also finished a file comparison of my server with a recent backup and found no extra files or changes to anything other than to wp-config.php.

    While this does not exclude the possibility of backdoors (I am still to compare database structure) it does make such a scenario seem less likely.

    Hi James,

    Thank you for your concern however I think you may be misunderstanding the very nature of the hack i’m describing.

    My wp-config.php was hacked and my details were replaced by those i published.

    Note I specifically didn’t publish the password so without that I’m not sure how this could be considered a security risk in any way.

    However if there is somebody that is geniunely interested in researching this issue more throughly they can contact me for the password.

    When I connect to this other server via MySQL and it has the database tables of maybe a couple of thousand other websites and appears to be growing all the time.

    The other reason I posted the details is so that other users who have had the same thing happen to them will be able to search for those details and end up at this discussion.

    For this reason I will post them again, however let me know if there is a valid reason not to.

    define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘brasportindcombr_wordpress’);
    define(‘DB_USER’, ‘brasportindcom’);
    define(‘DB_PASSWORD’, ‘[ask me for password’);
    define(‘DB_HOST’, ‘mysql02.hstbr.net’);
