I have verified this is working in the current version.
Double-check to make sure you are entering the description into the Book Grid Description field, not the Description field.

The noindex was needed for version 4 of MBM because of the way tax grids were created. Google was indexing placeholder text and not the actual content of the page.
I have removed the noindex in version 5.8.2 as the tag grid page is built differently in version 5, and I don’t think the noindex is necessary any more
I’m having the same problem.
I have tried installing the plugin by searching for it in wordpress and by uploading the files downloaded from the developer’s website.
I’m working on a local copy running on my machine for development, version 3.8.1.
I have no other plugins activated.
