I tend to play around with things on my own until I figure them out but, anything which can cause the admin username to display is a red flag for sure.
I’ll keep everyone updated with the testing.

In reply to: [Customizr] User Author Page Security Issue with Child ThemeOh, I don’t doubt the possibility of something being wrong in my child theme. I just thought it was strange because I don’t remember making any changes to the CSS in the child theme and changed it back to the normal functions.php when testing.
But, again, I will make a new child theme and go from there. It is a very strange one-off issue. I have switched back to the parent for the time being.

In reply to: [Customizr] User Author Page Security Issue with Child ThemeNope, not related to the custom role. I changed one of the roles to Author and not the custom role and their page still showed the admin user name. In short, the user HAS to have a post for the issue to go away.

In reply to: [Customizr] User Author Page Security Issue with Child ThemeWhen I tested yesterday, I had restored everything to defaults. I put my changes back in place after finding the issue wasn’t related to those changes.
At this point, there are 2 things which could be contributing to the problem.
1. The users I am playing with were created under a custom role part of a plugin and even when the plugin was disabled, this may have contributed to the problem.
2. In order to create a test post I had to use the User Role Editor plugin to assign the Author role AND the other custom role to the user. The create posts dialogue would not allow for the selection of the custom user role as an author, even though said role does have posting rights.
3. Once a test post was made, the issue was resolved.
So, the issue is potentially tied to the custom role AND to the issue where a user not having a post doesn’t have a name in their author page.

Maybe somehow because the parent theme only displays the user’s name when an article posts, the child theme somehow pulls the first user ID entry to fill it?
Doesn’t make sense regardless…

The parent theme displays ABOUT:
The child theme displays ABOUT: Admin UsernameSo, the parent theme isn’t displaying the name of the user at all but, the child theme is displaying the admin username.
Again, that is with customizations and plugins off/removed. Should I simply re-upload clean theme files?

It shows ABOUT: ADMIN ACCOUNT LOGIN and that is NOT the person’s name.
By demo site, I mean I am building out a demo site, sorry for that confusion.
