I am EMBARRASSED that I didn’t see my mistake of entering the website URL for the FB profile URL.

FWIW – making that change still did not work. I’m convinced that it’s FB that’s the problem. I know what the URL is obviously, is but it says it isn’t valid.

For now, I’ve simply deleted the article:publisher property and all is working fine.

Thank your for your help on this.

Okay, I’m not pointing fingers – this is what I’ve found.

It would appear that Facebook got a 503 which caused a cascade effect of missing properties and unable to download the image. I’m guessing that I need to understand what might have caused the 503 that is not a server related issue, but an AIOSEO issue. Otherwise, it’s just a server issue. Right?

So, I will verify with a second post to see if the error replicates, and try to determine which is at fault. Again, G+, Twitter, LinkedIN all posted successfully, just not FB.

I’m including the Debug and Scrap for your review and would appreciate any comments or suggestions.

    Here’s the Debug:
    Warning
Critical Errors That Must Be Fixed
Bad Response Code 503 – URL returned a bad HTTP response code.
    Warning
    Errors That Must Be Fixed
Missing Required Property – The ‘og:type’ property is required, but not present.
    Warnings That Should Be Fixed
Inferred Property – The ‘og:url’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Inferred Property – The ‘og:title’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Inferred Property – The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
og:image could not be downloaded or is too small
og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough.

The scrape shows all the properties and image intact:

Reinstalling the theme fixed it. The custom home page is working fine now.
