In reply to: WP update changed charset/charactersYou were right. The problem was due to their change/transfer from MySQL to MariaDB, and they have fixed it now.
What confused me was that it happened at the same time as the WP update (that made my sidebar menus disappear – I have fixed that myself).

In reply to: WP update changed charset/charactersThanks for replying. I have changed to TwentySixteen now again, but it does not seem to help. My database collation is set to: utf8_general_ci. And has changed to a so-called MariaDB, I realise, without my knowledge (by the webhost One.com).

In reply to: Kimili Flash Embed 2.0.1 and WordPress 2.7Thank you for your advice! Unfortunately this didn’t solve the problem in my case. With all plug-ins disbaled, and Kimili Flash Embed 2.0.1. then activated as the only plug-in, my front page still appears almost empty.
