Currently the images such as http://kidigrafisk.dk/kage/wp-content/themes/twentyseventeen/assets/images/header.jpg result in the 500 ISE. This is a generic error, if you can check the Apache error logs they may show more details, or for troubleshooting you could first try to rename the .htaccess, php.ini or .user.ini file.

I’m not aware of an alternative but I found your post while looking for one. I’ll update here if I come across anything. Personally P3 has worked well for myself, however it does not support PHP 7 and hasn’t been updated lately 🙁

You may want to try changing the PHP version, unfortunately P3 plugin doesn’t work with PHP 7.

I know this post is a little old, however I had the same issue, changing from PHP 7.0 to 5.6 allowed P3 to run fine for myself.
