Hi,
Thank you for reporting this issue and a workaround to fix it! We will investigate this and include the fix in the next plugin version.
What is the theme you are using on your website? Is this issue also present if you switch it to a different theme?
I see there is a difference in each anchor element HTML content. In your website it contains:<a href="https://mindsondigital.com/en/">
<span class="menu-text" data-text="<span data-no-translation><img class=" etm-flag-image"="" src="https://mindsondigital.com/wp-content/plugins/etranslation-multilingual/assets/images/flags/en_GB.png" width="18" height="12" alt="en_GB" title="English"></span>
">
<span data-no-translation="">
<img class="etm-flag-image" src="data:image/webp;base64,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" alt="en_GB" title="English" data-pagespeed-url-hash="3051956016" onload="pagespeed.CriticalImages.checkImageForCriticality(this);">
</span>
</a>Normally it would contain:
<a href="/">
<span data-no-translation="">
<img class="etm-flag-image" src="/wp-content/plugins/etranslation-multilingual/assets/images/flags/en_GB.png" width="18" height="12" alt="en_GB" title="English">
</span>

In reply to: [WEB-T – eTranslation Multilingual] The plugin makes my site slowHi!
- Can you describe the issue more, is the site being slow:
- when automatic translation is enabled and in process
- when Visual editor is open
- when website frontend is being used
- when any page (frontend or backend) is used?
- For testing purposes, temporarily disable other plugins one by one. This will tell, which plugin specifically conflicts with WEB-T. If all other plugins are disabled, is site still slow?
- If Bricks Builder plugin is essential to reproduce the issue, please provide access to a testing environment, as this plugin is not free.
- Try disabling:
- Automatic translation
- Dynamic element translation (Advanced settings -> Troubleshooting)
Hello,
WEB-T currently does not support slug translation. There is an error in the documentation which is planned to be updated soon.
The “error” keyword you are seeing is for cases when there is an error, but this time the error value is empty, so no error.
The HTTP POST response looks ok, eTranslation should be able to reach your website. But just to be sure, can you share your website URL?
Have you tried:
- Selecting different engine
- Unchecking Advanced options -> Use cURL client for eTranslation HTTP request & click Save Changes?
- Testing with different target language
If translation is still not working and there are no errors in logs, please create me a temporary user, I will take a look. My email is davis.ragels [at] tilde.lv
Have you tried making HTTP POST request to {{WEBSITE_URL}}/wp-json/etranslation/v1/document/destination/123 as described here?: Instruction information about WordPress & Woocommerce – European Commission If yes, what is the response?
This response you provided is not an error. Response 200 means success.
I could not check the error, as your link is not working.
Is the website published online? eTranslation requires it to be online and publicly accessible.
Generally, you should select General Text. If your website has specialized domain matching one of the other domains, you can select that. Also, you can try changing domain if eTranslation is not working, as sometimes some engines are overloaded and work very slowly.

Hi!
Please check your pastebin link, it is not working.In the video you show that page is not translated in 10s when translation editor is opened. This is normal, as translation to all added languages takes some time on first page visit, especially when using eTranslation. If you leave it open for longer, does it still not work? How many translation languages are added?
eTranslation sometimes can perform very slow, then each translation request can take minutes to complete or even time out completely. You can check eTranslation load status here: eTranslationIf eTranslation performance is a problem for your use case, you can also use 3rd party MT providers listed here: Automated translation – European Commission

Thank you for your feedback! The plugin indeed does not support slug translation, we will fix the documentation. It is useful, but complex feature that requires considerable development time. However, as this is an open source project, any developer is welcome to create this feature and submit pull request on WEB-T / WEB-T WordPress and WooCommerce local · GitLab

In reply to: [WEB-T – eTranslation Multilingual] Elementor supportHi!
It should be, as WEB-T WordPress plugin is based on TranslatePress, which is fully compatible with Elementor. However, if you notice any issues, please report them in this forum or through WEB-T helpdesk.

In reply to: [WEB-T – eTranslation Multilingual] Consume of server resourcesHello,
I tried to replicate your environment locally, using WordPress 6.6, PHP version 7.4 and Elementor, but did not see any CPU usage issues. However, as this plugin is a fork of TranslatePress, I found similar issues reported on their forum. It seems the issue comes from some element which is being overdetected and constantly retranslated by plugin. The suggestions are:
- Remove duplicate entries from database (WEB-T – eTranslation Multilingual -> Advanced tab)
- Disable Dynamic translation (WEB-T – eTranslation Multilingual -> Advanced tab)
- Disable Gettext translation (WEB-T – eTranslation Multilingual -> Advanced tab)
- Identify the HTML node that contains that overdetected text and use Advanced Settings option Exclude from dynamic translation to input the JS/CSS selector for that node. To identify which node/page is affected, you can try:
- opening different pages, static or dynamic content, see if there is any difference;
- check browser’s Developer options -> Network tab. If there are requests to etm-ajax.php, click on this request, inspect the content. It should contain details about node ID.
- Temporarily disable Elementor, check if there is any difference.
- Check sources bellow, download the suggested add-on for TranslatePress. Then edit the PHP file inside, replacing every ‘trp’ occurrence with ‘etm’. Install this add-on, see if it helps.

In reply to: [WEB-T – eTranslation Multilingual] sometimes only part of text translatedHi!
Can you describe the issue a bit more – is the page always partially translated or just on the first time loading it? Are you using eTranslation as MT provider?
As the plugin depends on external MT service (e.g. eTranslation), it has a translation timeout built in, so that page is still loaded in case if MT service is not working or is very slow. In such cases page will be translated partially or not at all. When plugin receives translations from eTranslation, it will update them in background and they will be loaded on the next page refresh. The default value for this timeout is 10s. You can increase this timeout (or disable it by setting its value to 0) in Advanced settings -> eTranslation timeout.
I checked the link you provided, and it seems that everything is translated now. If there are more issues with the plugin, please let us know.
