Hi Moshu, I too want to type Chinese and Roman characters into my WordPress blog, but my blog is hosted by Blue Host so that I can have my own domain. I also set it up with Fantastico, but I DID install version 2.2.2 and STILL cannot type Japanese kana and Chinese characters. I read the documentation you listed to but there they warn against altering the files in question. Is there an easy, automated way to do this? I realize Blue Host is not WordPress, but WordPress proudly recommends Blue Host and does not show any caveats against its use.
NOTE: Originally set up on WordPress, Chinese characters did display, but on Blue Host they don’t and they sent me back to WordPress. PLEASE HELP!!
