Yes Dreamhost DID fix it. They wrote:
Upon thorough research of your site, I found that our Web Application
Firewall called Modsecurity has blocked some processes on your site that
were giving you the “internal server error”. I just did some
configurations and whitelisted some rules so you don’t have this problem
