Yes linux (Ubuntu 14.04)

Current kernal: Ubuntu 14.04 x64 vmlinuz-3.13.0-79-generic

Thanks for your reply.

I’m actually hosting the server (on digital ocean) myself and have got a few wordpress sites up and running without this issue.

What kind of host specific settings could I check?
