So my question should have been:
Can a WP Multisite installation using subdomains be done on a shared hosting environment or do I need virtual hosting?
Your answer addresses subdirectories.
Would your answer be the same for subdomains?

DanI can see this discussion happened a few months ago but was wondering if it can revisited.
I’m having the issues as outlined above but the crossing out of the https happens while in the check out of Cart66. I tried following the path outlined above with no success.
Is anyone familiar with more information on this topic?
