@mattbroadway, I went to my hosting site, which is host gator and to the cpanel (control panel) there then followed exactly what @irocwebs said; go to file manager first and then for me public_html then wp-content then plugins then email-subscribers. Somewhere in there I also had to choose which website I was doing it for. I deleted the email subscribers folder and right away could then go to my wordpress dashboard. It was all how I left it! Shew! I reinstalled the email subscriber plugin and it was all there. I hope you can get back in business soon! It is a relief!
@irocwebs THANK YOU so very much for your help! I really appreciate it. Your instructions were what I needed for even a novice like me and I still have my subscribers. Thank you again!
I am in my cpanel and see nothing that is helpful in deleting or changing anything on my dashboard. When I go to wp-admin, I still get the Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home3/dancin1234/public_html/MyProductiveBackyard.com/wp-content/plugins/email-subscribers/classes/es-register.php on line 1241 error.
Also, will deleting and reinstalling the email subscribers plugin, will I lose my subscribers?

Thank you for your work on this. I can now see my blog is there but cannot get onto the dashboard to update the plugin or do or see anything at all. It still says fatal error when I try. What do I need to do to get into the dashboard. Thank you very much.

Hi, just want you to know I seem to have the same problem. I updated my email subscribers plugin and got the fatal error. . . on line 1241. I would also so appreciate knowing when the issue is resolved and what if anything I need to do to be back in business. Thank you very much!
