I am not sure if I have the syntax right. For the slider title I put:
<!–:en–>Jade Handex<!–:–><!–:de–>deJade Handex<!–:–>
but when I press update it changes to:
Jade HandexdeJade HandexAs I said I am new to this part of WP.

I managed to delete the plug-in folder. This gave me the ability to then run all the updates, inc. WordPress 4.o. I then reinstalled the rouge plug-in without any further issues.Once again thanks for the help.

In reply to: Unable to run any updatesThanks jonradio. Whilst I agree deactivating the plug-in should allow me to update, the problem is I can’t even get to the plug-in list page. Is there a way to manuallly deactivate the plug-in?
