A quick update:
After my last message I decided to run Smush overnight. It worked great. There seemed to be 50 or more images that had the error but once those were skipped the process worked fine. On the free version this must have been what happened also, it worked but only after skipping the first ones, therefore it isn’t periodic.
Thank you for the help and this software!

Hi Umesh,
My VPS is with LCN.com. The odd thing is that when I tried to use it recently it seemed to work. Shortly after I made this thread it managed to smush some. Since this website has over 3000 images I decided to try out the trial for the pro version. Unfortunately I’m now back with the same problem. I could contact my provider, but would you have any idea why it seems not to work only periodically?

In reply to: [FG Magento to WooCommerce] Manually Import ImagesThat worked like a charm. I first ticked “Remove all WordPress content” and clicked “Empty WordPress Content” before starting the import again with the magento site url keyed in. I was afraid that this might not have worked since the other settings needed tweaking in my case. Worked great. Many thanks.
