Yes I logged in as the other user. when I went to that user’s profile to activate the post-by-email feature, it says to first LINK the user to the WordPress.com account and provides a link button. When I click on the link button, I get the error message page as described above.
Just to add my 10cents worth and give feedback to the developers. I implemented the code change as mentioned earlier straight onto a live multi-site (3.5.2) and everything worked out perfectly.
The page options now appear on the connect to facebook, and I tested it with a scheduled post, and the post publicized to my facebook page.
