I am not just wanting a gallery. I already have a simple 3 column gallery. I want a slider or carousel of that gallery. Even though I’ve installed several plugins that are supposed to create a slideshow, that is the function that is not working.

For gallery carousel without jetpack the Link To is supposed to be set to Attachment Page as is indicated in it’s demo video. There are three overall options, Attachment page, media file and none. I tried the media file but if that option is selected, when you go to the page and click on the picture, it just brings up a larger picture with no slideshow arrows and you have to back out to get back to the website.

Is there any code to make the slideshow portion of gallery work?
