I didn’t notice this earlier. The function, ‘str_contains()’ is introduced in PHP8. It’s not available when you run PHP 7.3.

The ‘Delete My Data’ feature is tied to a user email. When the user enters information into a form, the data must be tied to an email. Then, during the request to delete, the all of the information tied to that email will be deleted.

I would ask your provider to upgrade your WordPress/SQL/PHP software stack. Since your PHP is older than 7.3, it is end of life and can’t be patched anymore. I apologize for the inconvenience this causes. We will update our plugin page to update the new minimum PHP requirement.
Until you get your PHP updated, you could roll back to an older version of GDPR by downloading an older version from the plugin page under the “Advanced View.” Here is an url for the download: https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/gdpr-framework.1.0.40.zip

In reply to: [Inline Related Posts] Very Deceptive Upgrade Practices@bella2011 – actually, incredibly bad licensing system! when we took this system over, unbeknownst to us this was an edge case – vast majority of folks DO upgrade/update – but of course, as the T’s & C’s state – you can run the plugin as long as you want – but without renewing support/maintenance – you won’t get updates.
Majority of users don’t update their IRP frequently, so we suspect that if they lapse their maintenance AND don’t make settings changes – we don’t hear from them.
HOWEVER, to make a long story shorter – the licensing bit has been fixed (you are free to make settings changes, run the plugin forever) without maintenance and support. Please just ping out support desk ( https://data443.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/17 ) as you will have to download the ‘new’ plugin to get the proper fixes (weird of course, right!), however, it will operate as it should.
of course, replacing the licensing platform is in our current development sprint as well.
