In reply to: Outgoing Trackbacks and Pingbacks not workingWell, at least I figured out what was going on. My Host has allow_url_fopen() enabled, but their firewall blocks outgoing connections. In addition to blocking Trackback and Pingback, this has had the effect of causing problems opening the SpamKarma2 admin, and disabled the FAlbum plugin.
By the way, the host is 101sitehosting.com. They’re pretty cheap and reliable, but if we can’t solve this I’d definitely recommend going somewhere else.

In reply to: Outgoing Trackbacks and Pingbacks not workingOk, I did some surfing, and what I’ve found is a very suspicious entry in my apache log.
83.103.44.199 – – [05/Oct/2005:19:25:18 -0700] “POST /Wordpress/wp-trackback.php HTTP/1.1” 404 – “-” “Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt; freenet 4.0)”
The reason this is suspicious, is that I’ve moved the blog to the root site, so the directory /Wordpress/ no longer exists. I’m beginning to think that perhaps I’ve missed a setting somewhere.
Help?

In reply to: pinging a list after doing a postWhat if outbound pings and trackbacks aren’t working? I’m using 1.5.2 and can’t seem to get one out to anyone. I’ve looked at every support thread I can find, and even installed the Fixback plugin, but still no luck.
I’d love to see a log. Is there one, or will it be in the server logs?
