In reply to: Incorrect Password MessageNo, I was unable to get a reset. Have a friend that is looking at the code for me. He found some ‘salt’ code in the wp-config.php file – so working on that. I’m not knowledgeable enough to work on the php code –

In reply to: Incorrect Password MessageI did nothing with the email – since I thought it looked suspicious. The topic was about a missing WP ‘security patch’ – nothing to do with my PW issue. I can forward the email to you if you will give me an email address.

Also, strangly, got an email purportedly from WP with a WP ‘security patch’ attachment I was to download and install.
I’ve been using WP for a long time and have not seen such a patch sent via email. Any ideas what? who that might be?
